It is ALWAYS a good thing when a package arrives addressed to me.  Always.

And packages addressed to me ALWAYS smell good.  From the outside.  That’s how I know the packages are for me.  I have this amazing nose, you see, it’s just a simple biological fact.

    WHOA!

PINE CONES!!!  I thought this package smelled extra amazing!!!

The package is from my pal Hobbes – a very intelligent Dale indeed – who collected them from the coast of Maine.  THAT’S LOVE AND TRUE FRIENDSHIP

I once again feel like a mighty oak with my mighty cones.  Philly is woefully underserved in the pine cone area.  And damn, but I miss these things…

    Yep, they still taste right…

    And now they’re ALL MINE

Oh my dear Hobbes, you are the bestest friend ever – I thank you from the bottom of my fuzzy heart.  These have made me so ridiculously happy, they take me back to my puppyhood and lovely days spent chasing fine cones.

Really, man.  I mean it.  YOU DA MAN HOBBES

I have already started the enjoy-ment of the cones my friend.  From the moment I tore open the box.

Mama and I send you LOTS of love and happy thoughts from us in Philadelphia up to you and your mama in Maine (are you going to be a part of the wedding? – I think you’d make a very dashing Best Man…)

    Love,

Ice, Ice, Baby… (dum dum dum dum da da dum dum)

I was first attracted to the leaking bags because, well, anything leaking on the street gets my attention.  But.. just bags of ice.  A bunch of humans seemed to be planning some sort of party to which I apparently wasn’t invited.  Silly fools, don’t you know that I BRING THE PARTY…

    Anyway…

Spring has sprung here in Old City, the sun is out and people are smiling.  LOTS of Airedmiration going on today.  Many visitors walking around with maps, looking up just in time to see my fuzzy mug and smile.

Ah, another dog store.  I can sniff ‘em out pretty much anywhere.

    BONeJOUR to you too!

I wanted to go inside – mama insisted that she didn’t have her wallet, and since I didn’t have mine either (still working on generating some cash myself), I just left a message.

    Springtime brings out flags…

And the grass is beginning to get green again.

But wait… there seems to be a large number of people in MY park.  More than usual.  Must investigate.

Notice the technique – sneaking up on them, whistling (if I could whistle), looking around as though I’m just part of the background.

Apparently we’d missed the main thrust of the day – there was a gigantic pillow fight today in Washington Square Park.  You crazy humans…

I too engage in some fine pillow fighting when I need to wrassle it away from mama in the middle of the night or correct a cat who has somehow found themselves sleeping on my bed.  But in public?  I think not.

Well, well, well… HUBBA HUBBA!  This fine wire fox gal is named Minx, and what a cutie pie she is!

She’s got fine terrier spirit and adorable ears.  I like that in a girl.

Big kisses to ya Miss Minxie – hope we can do some more sniffin’ soon!

    Terrier Time!

I was quite surprised when mama didn’t take off my harness after the morning walkie today – could there be more excitement to my birthday weekend?  YES INDEED.

The handsome guy swimming next to me is Axel – he’s a Wire Fox Terrier – and today was our first meeting.  His mama lives here in Philadelphia too and apparently my mama was excited to meet her and put us together.  I don’t get along with every dog I meet, sometimes I like ‘em and sometimes I don’t.  But Axel and I got along like a house on fire (except for one little argument over a treat – but that was minor and over in a second).

We went for a swim in a lovely pond near the Art Museum while the mama’s talked.  There were donuts and dog treats and lots of laughs.

I am sure that we’ve both made a new friend and that we’ll be seeing each other again really soon!  Take care of your mama Axel till we see each other again!

    Love,

As you may or may not know, I have a few dog blogging related lenses on Squidoo.  I have not had the time lately to prod mama into updating them, and left to her own devices, she has managed to not update them either.  I have been spending far more time with my sticks doing important things.

    thu2

So the first one I’m going to tackle is the Airedale Terrier Bloggers page.  Please go and check it out, and if you see an Airedale blog that’s not listed please let me know.

    thu4

You can leave me a comment here on my blog, or send me an email:  bogarthandsomedevildog@yahoo.com.  Don’t forget to give me the URL of your Airedale blog.  I read ‘em all you know, some of them make me laugh…

    thu3

Next I’ll be moving on to my Terrier Bloggers page, and then the more wide open Dog Blogs page.  So if you’re not an Airedale, hang in there.

    thu5

Help a boy out, will ya?  Mama isn’t much help these days.  I want my Squidoo list to be as complete and full of Dale-ness as possible.

My pal Robin (one of what dad used to call “the mobsties”) is sick… he has a tumor and may need surgery – he needs some serious Airezen or any-kind-of-Zen-you-can-do!

Mama spilled the beans to me that I am going to get to visit my favorite Dales in LA this summer, and hey, I really wanna see my pal Robin.  Robin is a very, very special boy to his mama Mareike, so I’m asking for your lovin’ to come toward Los Angeles from all of the world!

Hey Keeley!  I read your post about your paws, and mama wanted to show you what my rugged Airedale paws look like…

See?  They’re kind of rough because I run around outside on the concrete a lot for walkies.

Mom checks ‘em for any cracking once a week or so, just to make sure that they’re not too dry and rough.  But I’ve never had a problem and I go out A LOT…

Ok mom, ENOUGH of the paw photos!!!

    Hope this helps ya Keeley!!!
