Mama goes through a LOT of shoes. She says that all the walking we do is tough on them, and in the last ten months she has destroyed 4 pairs of walking-only shoes. Sounds about right to me. Recently she started wearing her snow boots on days when it was raining or snowing. As we were walking something essentially happened to them where they basically exploded while she was walking. Silly mama that she is, she didn’t even realize that anything had happened until we got home. First she un-harnessed me, took off her coat, and bent down to take off her shoes and saw this:
Yep, a double blow out.
Crazy, huh? I mean, I know she has super-human strength sometimes (remember when she broke the key in the lock?), but who knew that shoes could explode? And that you could keep walking on them without noticing?
