Another hot day in the city… tongues were wagging everyone you looked.  How to cool off?  It looks like most of the folks in downtown are heading toward the river, so we decided to follow suit…

Over the Burnside Bridge to the east side.

Keep up, will ya?

Down the steps to the east side esplanade…

Checking out the local greenery.  My virtual salad bar, if you will.

This photo makes it look like we were the only ones on this side of the river but if that’s what you think, you’d be sadly mistaken.  There were lots of people walking, skateboarding (and falling – you humans are really hilarious sometimes), and riding bikes.

We do a nice tour that involves walking over the Burnside Bridge, and then all the way down to the Hawthorne Bridge and then back up the west side of the river.  Takes about 1.5 – 2 hours depending on how many times I feel like stopping.

Yes I know that the Willamette River is a big old cesspool.  But damn it was hot.  I felt the need to at least soak the paws…

And frolic…

And pose…

And romp…

And run quickly in the opposite direction from where mama is…

And find some choice stick-age…

And of course, RELAX.  It’s still HOT!

Love,

Bogart

  1. Bogie, you are a Hot Dog!!! 😆 Nice that you keep all the greenery green – it frames your luxurious pink tongue very tastefully! Damn, you are handsome!!!

  2. It looks like you had another great day out, Bogie! It’s supposed to go to 79 degrees, here, this weekend. Mom doesn’t care…she’ll be in Oh-hi-oh where it’s not even really Spring yet! We’ll see you around the end of April!
Take good care of your mama!

    Aire-hugs,
    Poppy, Penny & Patches

  3. Lulu & Bogie,

It was really good to see you two this morning! I hope Bogie enjoyed the rest of his morning walk!! 😉

  4. Lulu and Bogart…still enjoying the blogs. I have to giggle when I hear about Bogart’s antics..reminds me of my girl Belle. One of my favorite things about Airedales is their zest and enthusiasm for their surroundings and life in general..always want to be a part of what is going on around them. I love that Bogart watches t.v. Belle did too; she loved Roy Rogers movies the best. Thanks again for sharing.
