To Aire is Divine

Last night I received an amazing gift.  The team of fantastic nurses here at the hospital have been listening to me yak on and on about Bogart, and the special relationship that he and Klaus share.  If there is one thing a nurse understands, it’s the power of positive therapy, and what could be more positive than this…

I’ve gone to great pains to not show too much of Klaus in these photos, but I know they could be disturbing, and for that I apologize in advance.

Bogart walked right in, and after sliding on the slippery floor, he found Klaus.  I brought a chair up to Klaus’ bedside and Bogart hopped right up.

Bogart kissed Klaus’ hand numerous times, and I lifted Klaus’ hand so that he could pet Bogart.

Bogart was certainly confused, but his reaction to Klaus was automatic and magical.

He stayed for awhile, but then I had to get him back home.  Before we left, I held Klaus’ hand tightly and Bogart came in close to kiss us both.  Our little family is strong, and we’re all working hard to get Klaus his miracle!!!

Thank you yet again – your thoughts, candle lightings, prayers, purrs, hugs, headbutts, and zen mean the absolute world to us.

Love,

Lulu & Bogart

Oh that is soooo wonderful that they let Bogart come to visit Klaus. We just knew they couldn’t refuse letting him come to visit. Now we know Klaus will get better soon. Paw Power is the best medicine. We hope you are able to get some sleep Lulu. We’re thinking of you night & day.

And your pictures mean a lot to us also. What a marvelous, caring group of nurses. Bogart can do more good in half an hour than you or I can imagine. And while he looks a bit confused in the earlier photos..by the last one he looks more at ease and comfortable. “OK, I found him. He’s still here. Nowwe just have to get him home where he belongs.”

    kisses to all of you

That was so special that Bogart was allowed to visit Klaus in hospital – what an understanding medical team. I am sure that it would have benefitted both of them – Bogart to see where his dad was and Klaus to see Bogart there for him. I only wish that our girls could have visited me in ICU- I just know it would have made the world of difference. Your tale is very sad but also heart warming to see how you are all holding together strong, and what a team you must be. Bogart certainly understands that his love and healing powers are needed and he is being so patient. Thank you for telling the story so eloquently and for sharing it with us. We hope so very much that things improve. Love Kate (and Molly and Gertrude)

    Hi Lulu, and Bogart -
I am so glad the nurses let you bring Bogart in to see Klaus, and I know that is going to help him hang in there. (My mom is a nurse and allows her patients’ family members to bring dogs into the Trauma Unit where she works – she says that she can always see a difference in the patients when their dogs have been there.)
We are thinking the very best wishes for Klaus and for your family – sending lots and lots of puggy kisses from Clover, and hugs from all of us.
We are going to hold onto hope with you.
    Love Clover and Mom, Jess

Oh, dear Lulu, Bogart and Klaus!
Your little family IS truly strong, and we now know that the miracle is in the works. Especially after Dr. Bogart’s magic visit (Thank You, wonderful nurses, who helped this to happen – this is already a part of the miracle we all pray for, isn’t it?). We are keeping the hope, and the candles are lit for Klaus’ healing. Today I’ll plant “get well Klaus” wildflowers in our garden.
    Sending you our endless love,

Oh, we are so pleased those nurses understood how much good Bogars’ visit could do for their patient!!! Our Mom just had a teary moment looking at those photos and imagining what a wonderful feeling Klaus must have had with Bogart’s warm furry body next to his — even if on a subconscious level.

Stay strong — and thank you for keeping us updated. We were thinking about the circle of love and prayer that is surrounding your family at this difficult moment. The reason is sad; the result is a blessing.

    Love,

Jake and Just Harry (and Joan)

    Hi guys,
So sweet! Just looking at the pictures makes me feel lifted up inside – if it did that for me, I can’t imagine what it’s doing for Klaus…and for you, Lulu! I have a one-word mantra that I’m saying over and over again, aimed directly at Klaus from across the city: getbettergetbettergetbettergetbettergetbetter.
I’m thinking of you all and hoping and hoping and hoping.

Bogart and Mommy Lulu, we are soooo glad that Bogart got to visit Daddy Klaus, we are purring so much that those puppy vibes will go straight to helping Daddy get over all his very overwhelming troubles. We visited yesterday, and our Momma was so choked up because of Klaus’ serious health issues, she was very, very leaky eyed, as were we, because Momma has gone thru serious health issues with those she loves and knows how terribly hard it is. Sometimes things don’t make any sense, but with the power of purrs and purrayers we sure hope that things will turn around for Daddy Klaus, because we know how much your two love and need him.
Many hugs, purrs, headbutts, and much love to all of you …
